Shop any store from your Claude
Two minutes, no account, no payment info. Claude builds the cart, you click the checkout link and pay on the store's own site.
- Step 1: add the connector
Fastest: open Claude with Tote already filled in, then click Add.
Add Tote to ClaudeBy hand: Customize → Connectors → Add custom connector. Name it Tote and paste this URL:
https://usetote.dev/mcp - Step 2: allow the tools
The first time Claude adds something to a cart, it shows a permission card for the Tote tool. Click Always allow. Typing a reply instead of clicking cancels the action, and Claude will say the cart step didn't go through. Nothing can spend money; checkout always happens on the store's own site, by you.
To allow every Tote tool up front: Customize → Connectors → Tote → tool permissions.
- Step 3: ask for somethingFind me a coffee store on Tote and build me a cart.
Can't touch settings (or want to try it first)? If your Claude has web browsing on, paste this into any chat instead:
A real cart, built live, right now.
This calls the actual Tote API against a real store and ends with a checkout link you can open.
One line and your agent can shop.
Every tool over MCP and REST. Create a key, paste one line, and every verified store in the index is buyable.
Free, instant, no password. Every key is attached to an email. We count your call volume, never what you search for or buy.

No. Every flow ends at a checkout link you open and complete on the store's own site. Tote never sees, touches, or stores payment details. That is a property of the code, not a promise.
Any Shopify or WooCommerce store works with no setup from the merchant, that is roughly 7 million storefronts. Best Buy works through its official API, and more marketplaces are on the way.
The Claude connector asks you to sign in by email the first time you connect, so your usage is attributed to you and shows on your own ledger. The REST API works without a key for scripts and demos; for higher volume you mint a free key on the keys page and pass it as a bearer token.
We log call volume only: which tool, which store, success or failure, and latency. We never log what you search for or what you buy, and we never sell data.
Before any store is served, Tote adds a real item to a real cart, reads the cart back, and checks the price charged matches the price listed. Stores that fail are flagged, not served.
In Claude, open Settings, Connectors, Add custom connector, and paste the Tote URL. It takes about two minutes. The get started page walks through it.
